Freeland Orchestra is a chamber orchestra whose purpose is to provide an opportunity for adult musicians to make music together in a friendly environment.

There is no minimum standard of entry, although the level of music played dictates a certain level of ability.

Most players are about Grade 6 or above however we are happy to consider keen string players yet to reach that standard.

We don’t audition players!

We rehearse fortnightly on a Wednesday evening in the village of Freeland, near Eynsham.

Rehearsals run from 8.15 to 10.00 p.m.

START DATE: 11th Jan 2012

The orchestra is conducted by Wendy Marks, a local oboist and woodwind teacher.

We are always keen to hear from any string players, particularly violinists
